The P50R-600 is designed to produce beautifully soft, dimensional light with exceptional wrap and refined shadow transitions. Its large 5’ round (1.52 m) emitting surface creates flattering illumination that feels natural on camera, with smooth falloff and a distinctive circular catchlight.
The advanced full-colour (RGBWW) light engine delivers a precisely balanced, clean white spectrum across a wide range of colour temperatures, while also producing deeply saturated hues that accurately replicate traditional gel effects.
Unlike traditional soft lights that diffuse a central point source, CineVeam spreads the light source across the entire surface. The result is light quality closer to a book light configuration — producing softer wrap, smoother falloff, more natural shadow transitions and beautifully natural reflections in the eye and on the skin.
The generous circular format delivers expansive softness and elegant coverage, making the P50R-600 particularly suited to hero portraiture, beauty lighting and overhead sources for narrative, commercial and multi-subject scenes.
With the light source distributed across the entire surface, the fixture emits evenly without a central hotspot — producing smooth falloff, beautifully controlled shadows and natural reflections without the specular highlights typical of point source soft lights.
Umbrella-style Quick Deployment System
The CineVeam quick-deploy system opens in seconds using a central pull-and-lock rod built directly into the fixture. Simply hold the center locking collar and pull the rear deployment rod to open the light, just like an umbrella in reverse. Once locked, the exposed 5/8″ rear rod provides approximately 14″ of built-in mounting length for grip heads, clamps and rigging.
For tighter overhead or studio setups, the rear rod can be removed at the threaded joint located 7 cm behind the locking collar. That built-in 7 cm section is designed to fit directly into a grip head or the included stand adapter, reducing the overall depth of the fixture while maintaining safe mounting.
The removable rear section may also be replaced with an optional 1 m extension rod for boom mounting or greater stand clearance. Both ends include captive safety pins, and the rear end cap incorporates a hanging loop for storage and safety cable attachment.
